How is physical therapy different from Chiropractic care or Massage?
Chiropractic care and massage are both extremely useful tools in improving your health. Often times, these three very different areas of healthcare are confused or intertwined and people believe them to be all relatively the same. Although chiropractic care and massage therapy are both useful in their own areas, they do not completely cover the needs of most patients. Physical therapy is a process of making long term results through repetition, education, exercise and manual therapy. Some people become frustrated because they would like to be ‘better now’, but they are ALWAYS satisfied with their long term results instead of short term pain relief. To see how physical therapy will benefit your life, schedule a FREE ASSESSMENT TODAY!
What will physical therapy do for me?
If you have aches, pains, weaknesses or other complications that are restricting you from enjoying an active and pain-free life, physical therapy can help you regain movement, functionality and freedom to enjoy a healthier lifestyle. Physical therapy will increase range of motion( flexibility), strength and tissue quality to correct the detrimental condition, return your body to it’s healthy state and thus eliminate the pain and limitations that held you back from living life to its fullest.
How much will I be paying?
The cost of physical therapy is variable from state to state and depends largely on your insurance benefit coverage. Patient responsibilities vary based on deductible status as well as co-pay and coinsurance agreements. If your insurance plan doesn’t cover physical therapy, if you have a high deductible/co-pay or if you don’t have any medical insurance, Peak is proud to offer affordable payment plans which allow you to obtain the results you need NOW, regardless of ability to pay.
How is PEAK different than other local offices?
Peak understands that rehabilitating pain/injuries is very personal; that each case they deal with is different and specific to each patient and their lifestyle. Physical Therapy can be very inconvenient and expensive; therefore, they ensure that their patient’s recovery is “complete” and long lasting so that patients avoid having to do physical therapy again for the same thing saving them precious time and money…they call it “DO IT WELL AND DO IT ONCE”. This entails:
• EDUCATION
Detailed education for each patient, so that they fully understand all aspect of their case enabling them not only to fully recover, but to prevent it from reoccurring in thefuture.
• HANDLING THE PROBLEM
Most physical therapy clinics will get you out of pain and then discharge you from care, only to for you to have your problem return within 6 months. Peak identifies and handles the “problem” that causes your pain so that it doesn’t return.

They have programs in place that allow you to access them every 4-6 weeks (or as needed) FOR FREE help you to protect your result so that YOUR PAIN NEVER RETURNS.

Physical Therapy is all about pain relief, right?
Physical Therapy is MORE than just pain relief, IT IS ABOUT GETTING YOUR LIFE BACK! When we are in pain, we knowingly or unknowingly begin to sacrifice things. We stop doing some of those activities that we enjoy and eventually concede to the fact that “we have to live with it”. As more time passes, we find that we are doing less and less and now we become spectators instead of participants. PHYSICAL THERAPY IS ABOUT GETTING BACK INTO LIFE. Peak feels that the human body is very resilient regardless of our age, but unless we “train” or “prepare” for what we love to do our chances of losing it to injury increases.
I didn't do ANYTHING- why do I hurt!?!?
It is very common to people to begin experiencing pain without any specific “incident”. The burning question is, “How does it Happen”? The body is a very efficient machine. It is always adapting, either getting strong or weaker, but it never stays the same. So over the course of time if we are not exercising (stretching and strengthening) our body becomes weaker, developing tightness and weakness which places increased stress on the body. The body’s tissues will then begin experiencing more tension, they will have less “spring” to them and they become weaker causing them to fatigue sooner. Once these stresses reach a certain point, the body begin to “ache”, and that ache turns to “pain” and then that pain begins to interfere with our lives and we are left wondering, “Why do I hurt, I didn’t do anything”????? The phrase should be, “I hurt BECAUSE I didn’t do anything.”
