Darin Tucker, PTA- CEO/Owner- Boise Physical Therapist
Darin is one of Peak Physical Therapy’s founders. He is a native Idahoan born in Rupert, Idaho and raised in Twin Falls. Darin attended Boise State University where he received degrees in Athletic Training and Exercise Physiology while obtaining additional certifications in Strength and Conditioning and Massage Therapy. After graduating from BSU, Darin worked as the head athletic trainer at a high school before going on to receive his Physical Therapist’s Assistant degree from North Idaho College in Coeurd’Alene, Idaho.

Darin has a wife and three children who all love the outdoors. As a founder of Peak Physical Therapy and as a practitioner, Darin feels that physical therapy isn't just about getting someone out of pain; it is about getting them back “into life and activity.” It’s about developing a strong friendship with the patient so that a high level of personalized care can be provided. It is very important to him that EVERY patient be treated with exceptional care and service. “Physical Therapy should be FUN, it is about GETTING BACK the abilities or lifestyles that we lost due to pain . . . that is exciting! I want my patients to have an excellent experience, an experience that they will miss when they are done.”

Chip Sands, PT-President/Owner

Boise Idaho Physical TherapistChip has been successfully providing orthopedic physical therapy and sports medicine services to clients for over 20 years. !n 1987 he graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education/Athletic Training. He then became a Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and Emergency Medical Technician.

In 1985 he joined the National Ski Patrol Service and was a ski patroller for 10 years at ski areas in California, Montana, and Idaho. In 1990 he graduated from Langston University, Oklahoma with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy. Chip’s athletic background has given him a detailed understanding in treating athletic injuries. He has participated up to the college level in basketball, football, and ice hockey. He has completed numerous triathlons, marathons, and distance cycling events. In 2008 he cycled across the U.S. from Washington to Maine. He also enjoys whitewater kayaking, snow skiing, fishing, and hunting.

Chip’s sports medicine background includes working in high school, college, and Olympic venues. In 1998 he was invited by the US Olympic Committee (USOC) to be the lead athletic trainer for the men’s and women’s beach volleyball venue at the New York City Goodwill Games. In 1999 he was again invited by the USOC to be the lead athletic trainer for the US Ski Team at the Winter World University Games in Poprad Tatry, Slovakia. Chip also has extensive experience in rodeo sports medicine, including working with the “Justin Healers” professional rodeo sports medicine program.

Chip can now be found working as our Operations Manager with our highly trained and skilled professional staff. Although his main office is at our Boise clinic, he travels to each of our offices, many times on his bicycle, providing assistance and guidance where needed. When not at work he can be found on a mountain or river with his wife and son, living the Idaho dream!

Paul Vinci, MPT -Boise Physical Therapist

Paul has been happily assisting people in the rehabilitative process since 1995. His educational background was set in the State of Idaho, B.S. from the College of Idaho in 1991 and M.P.T from Idaho State University in 1995. Licensed in AZ, NV and ID he has had the benefit of learning and practicing in multiple settings and facilities over the last 17 years. Practice settings include Elko General Hospital (Elko, NV), Bannock Regional Medical Center (Pocatello, ID), Western Arizona Regional Medical Center (Bullhead City, AZ), and Desert Pain Institute (Mesa, AZ). From positions of Director of Rehab to staff therapist he has been exposed to many injuries and treatment techniques. Although born in California he is at home here in the Treasure Valley. Paul, his wife and two children enjoy fishing, camping and other treats the outdoors provide. Personally he is an avid soccer (LA Galaxy) and baseball fan (LA Angels) reflecting his home town bias.

 
Jamie Weishaar, MPT- Emmett Idaho Physical Therapist

Jamie, born and raised in South Dakota, migrated to Kansas City to complete his Masters in Physical Therapy and graduated in 2002.  After PT school, professional interest and opportunity lured him out to the west coast of California where he started his physical therapy career and developed his knowledge in outpatient therapy.  Recently, Jamie and his family decided to move to the treasure valley and join the Peak team as Clinic Director of the Emmett, Idaho office.  As a clinician, Jamie prides himself on providing evidence based manual therapy with functional based exercise programs.  Jamie’s goal is not only to provide top-quality therapy service designed to help his patients return to the highest level of activity and function, but to ultimately empower his patient’s through comprehensive education to prevent re-injury.

 
Cherie Davis, PTA- Emmett Idaho Physical Therapist Assistant
Cherie is a Physical Therapist Assistant who has been practicing for 24 years. She attended Green River Community College in Auburn Washington, graduating Cum Laude in 1987. Since that time she has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, most of which has been spent in outpatient orthopedics.

Cherie feels physical therapy is about helping people regain their lives by giving them the tools they need to strengthen and correct postural problems and develop a total wellness lifestyle. " I love to see a patient walk out of our clinic without pain or limitation and with a smile on their face. I really think that I have one of the best jobs in the world!"

Marc Patten Grow, PT- Middleton Idaho Physical Therapist
Marc Grow is an Idaho native and a father of six.  Marc graduated from the University of St. Augustine with Honors in 2000.  Since graduating, Marc has established himself as an outstanding physical therapist providing skilled manual and functional therapy.  Marc was the owner of an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Nevada for eleven years before returning to his home in Idaho.  PEAK is honored to announce Marc Grow as the new Clinic Manager of the Middleton, Idaho office.

Marc and his family enjoy staying active by hiking, camping, playing basketball, and running, so returning his patients to the things they love to do is of the utmost importance to him.  His main objectives when treating a patient is to educate the patient, answer their questions and most of all give them the RESULTS they want, which allow them to return to their highest level of functional activity.

Arden Jensen, PT, DPT- Mountain Home Physical Therapist
Arden loves working with people and helping them to return to normal and productive lives.  Having worked in a variety of clinical settings during his 28 years of practice, Arden can offer a broad spectrum of physical therapy care including orthopedic, spine, manual therapy, prevention, neuro, ergonomics, job site analysis, functional capacity evaluation, TMJ, and vestibular rehabilitation.

As a practitioner, he stays current on the best practice interventions with regular review of current research and continually updates his education.  Empowering clients with the tools needed for full recovery and prevention of injury/problems in the future is his main goal.  He wants the patients and providers he serves to be fully confident that they will always receive the best therapy possible!

Yvette Pieniadz, PT- Colorado Springs Physical Therapist
Yvette is a physical therapist at our Colorado Springs location.  She is a recent graduate with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX in Dec 2010.  After graduation, she was sure of only 2 things.  She knew she wanted to work in an outpatient orthopedic setting and that she wanted to move to Colorado!  She feels truly blessed that both of those things were able to come true!

She wanted to move to Colorado because she loves the great outdoors!  Everything from skiing to biking, hiking to running and being able to look at the mountains everyday is truly breathtaking to her!  Yvette loves to interact with patients, and gaining functional results is what she’s all about!

Ken Bush, PT, Colorado Springs Physical Therapist

Originally from central New York, Ken graduated from Ithaca College with his doctorate in physical therapy (DPT).  Ken enjoys helping people treat their pathologies with conservative measures, and educating them as to how to best prevent injury. Ken’s continuing education classes range from Pilates to manual physical therapy skills.  His experience is mostly working with the active population ranging from competitive athletes of all skill levels to the weekend warriors.  Recreationally Ken enjoys mountain climbing, backpacking, camping, snowshoeing, and cycling.
