Mitchell was born outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, but was raised in Austin, Texas, graduating from the University of Texas with his B.Sc. in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. He then graduated from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, Texas, with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He found out just how much he loved studying the human body during his first year at the University in Vancouver. His new-found love for studying the body, paired with the strong desire to help his parents who had just received joint replacements, started his journey towards physical therapy. The more he shadowed and learned, the more his desire to help others with various debilitating injuries grew.
Mitchell’s passion for physical therapy, sports, and the outdoors brought him, his wife, and his dog to Idaho where they primarily enjoy hiking, snowboarding, and playing tennis and ultimate frisbee. His enjoyment of sports and activities led him to the orthopedic field of physical therapy, where he is excited to use his compassion, experience, and love learning to best assist those with a variety of injuries to return to the activities they enjoy.”
